My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area. I am also standing for Council - At Large.
I believe Dunedin can be better for all of us.
As your Mayor I will be able to push harder for better control of Rates, Debt and Bureaucracy.
My long business and political experience will bring better local contracts, better DCC Company returns, more efficiency with better IT, and lower debt: - selling underused land and buildings, hoarded carbon credits and freehold Harbourside land, stimulating commercial development.
Dunedin will be better off without the ORC, their rates and bureaucratic duplication, also getting back Port Chalmers and Harbourside land that Dunedin's ancestors reclaimed and developed.
We need a better Hospital with a safe access walkway over the One-Way from a multistorey carpark/helipad beside the Police Station. DCC should rezone more sections and streamline compliance costs for affordable housing.
