My principal place of residence is in the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board area.
I have lived and worked in the Dunedin region since 1977, moving to Karitane in 1992. Since the end of my professional career at the University of Otago, I have – with the support of my late wife – developed a substantial smallholding, growing fruit and vegetables and planting a great many trees. I have also been actively involved in a wide range of community groups and organisations.
I have been a member of the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board for four terms, serving as Deputy Chair over the last three years. I have a good understanding of what is required of a Board member and have a proven record of conscientious service. I stand by my longstanding pledge to ensure that the Board continues to operate in an open and responsive manner, promoting local interests and dealing promptly and effectively with the concerns of our constituents.
