We have published our Pre-election Report ahead of the 2022 local elections.
Pre-Election Report 2022
The report is a legislative requirement of the Local Government Act 2002, which the CEO of each council must prepare independently of their mayor and councillors.
The DCC Pre-election report provides a snapshot of Dunedin city and focusses on current information related to:
- major projects and programmes of work
- challenges the DCC is facing
- aspirations for the future
- financial information

Electoral systems
Dunedin City uses the Single Transferrable (STV) electoral system, while the Otago Regional Council and Oamaru Licensing Trust are elected under the First Past the Post (FPP) system. You can find more information on the STV system from the STV website (external website | new window)
