Sunday Parking - Paid Zones and Times

Through the 9 year plan (9YP) consultation process, the Dunedin City Council approved the introduction of paid parking on Sundays in the central city. Sunday paid parking will encourage parking turnover in the central city.

It is important to note that this consultation is only on the applicable area for introducing paid parking on Sundays. Consultation is not seeking feedback on whether we are implementing paid parking, as this has already been consulted on and approved through the 9YP process.

Restrictions will be in place 7 days a week, 9am-6pm – except where signage indicates otherwise.

The proposed zone for Sunday paid parking is highlighted in the diagram. Prices will be consistent with fares charged on other days of the week, and highlighted on the meters in the area - the prices are listed in the table.

*Unpaid parking will remain available on Sundays outside of the proposed zone.
