Affiliation: Building Kotahitaka
My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area.
Kia ora Greetings
Ōāmaru-born-and-raised, I’ve lived here for 20 years, raising two wonderful children, and deepening our roots in Dunedin. Both my up-bringing and lived-experience ground me in my work on collaborative, practical and community-led solutions to one of our most fundamental problems – lack of affordable, permanent shelter.
I am standing to be able to directly represent, Dunedin residents who have struggled for generations to make ends meet. As Able Abodes’ founder, I’ve learned many skills and built a strong support network, turning my passion for equitable housing and civic infrastructure into inclusion-and-accessibility-based models.
I’m seeking the opportunity to be one of the city’s governors to ensure that councillors are not distant from the many residents and neighbourhoods in great need.
I want the DCC to build a strong strategic vision where we repair, heal and build - not just for today, but for generations to come.
