Dunedin City Council – Kaunihera-a-rohe o Otepoti

O'MALLEY Jim - Candidate profile

Affiliation: Independent

My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area.

I am a third term councillor and am currently the chair of the Infrastructure Services Committee and the councillor attached to the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board.

I bring experience in council business and how Dunedin interacts with central government. During 3 waters reform I worked hard to position the city in the best possible place and believe that as we have emerged from those changes in the best position we can be. Looking forward we face significant reform in the RMA which will affect how we develop District Plans and what control we as a city will have over planning our future. If returned I will ask to continue to work on Infrastructure and continue to fight for keeping Dunedin’s status nationally.
