My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area.
I was born in Dunedin and grew up on the Taieri. I was the middle of three children, with an older brother and younger sister.
I studied at The Taieri High School and began my first job with the University Of Otago.
I spent a year or so in Sydney, Australia during which time I worked in the Office of Envirotech Australia. On my return to New Zealand, I was offered a position as a department manager for a large supermarket chain. As the department manager I had a staff of six reporting to me.
I stopped working to spend the next fifteen or so years raising two daughters. I was involved in many school activities, trips and extracurricular activities over this time. I was also President of the PTA at their primary school.
I have been self-employed in Dunedin for 35 years.
I am a fiscally conservative independent candidate.
