About this track

Lovelock Bush used to be grazed by deer, but 130 years on has regenerated into a flourishing section of native Kanuka bush.

Directions

Accessible parking is established at both the Botanic Garden Carparks on either side of Lovelock Avenue. If users wish to avoid a road crossing, best access for the bush is using Dunedin Botanic Gardens Eastern Carpark. There is a sealed path that takes track users to the back entrance of the bush and the Northern Cemetery.

Bus Route 11 will take you to the corner of Signal Hill Road and Lovelock Avenue. You can then walk through the Botanic Garden or along Lovelock Avenue for 300m to reach the entrance of the track.

Adventure strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers can be used on this track.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed in the Dunedin Botanic Gardens.
