I believe that the sale of Aur oars would go a long way to ensuring a sounder financial position for the DCC and the resultant ability for council to keep rate increases to a minimal amount - currently there are many households in the Dunedin catchment who are being placed under increasing financial pressure by exorbitant rate rises and the sale of Aurora should alleviate this situation. My warning note is that the resultant investment fund must be used WISELY and PRUDENTLY and not on nice to have but not necessarily required projects!
