Aurora as a company was created to benefit the city in the future. ie projects such as the stadium. Yes this has meant that some years the payment of dividends has increased the debt. The company should be there for a future "extra" for the city such as a new performing arts centre (funded from debt if necessary). It should not be sold to fund infrastructure maintenance the current rate payers should be funding. Nor should it be sold to upgrade old, not fit for purpose with no disability access, performing arts venues that are privately owned, or are city council owned but weren't maintained by the trusts supposedly managing the venue, or their previous owners.
