If sold then residents would end up paying increased supply charges and no guarantee that the purchaser would maintain the infrastructure. Going by history any proceeds from the sale would probably be frittered away by council on vanity projects, Stick to your knitting maintain core services like water, wastewater, rubbish collection etc then live within your means instead of borrowing to spend on nice to haves.
