Further comment
The selling of public assets will lead to worse results for the public. If it is not "profitable" for the council to own Aurora energy then I doubt a private company would be able to provide the same service while also meeting their requirements of making a profit. I think public ownership of assets such as aurora is important infrastructure to ensure people living in Dunedin have access to energy regardless of how "profitable" it is to provide the necessary service.
