My degree of support is entirely dependent upon the fund being absolutely protected from having its capital raided by councillors and council officials, and that simple index tracker fund management by an independent organisation like Simplicity Investment be used in preference to actively managed funds, as 75%, or more, of managed funds perform worse than simple diversified index funds. Without those elements, I would withdraw my support.
