I've just moved back to Dunedin from Canada. The Province I was living in had sold their power company to a private company and it was an absolute nightmare. The greed of this company and its shareholders resulted in insane rate hikes with zero justification. The energy was horrific. Old, out of date and prone to failure at the slightest provocation. Selling off assets such as Aurora to private companies is a terrible idea and will only result in the consumers/people in these regions being price gouged on yet another avenue.
