Aurora Energy is a long-term income generating asset for the DCC, and looks certain to remain that for the foreseeable future, even if dividends are not guaranteed every year (which they aren't anyway). Given that it is profitable - an outlier in the DCC portfolio - it makes no sense to adopt the short-term approach that is the underlying cause of the degradation of all NZ infrastructure and social projects and sell this asset.
