Hi,
The DCC proposes to sell Aurora, a mismanaged intergenerational asset in order to attain an intergenerational asset; the investment fund. On the face of it this seems absurd, and how do we ensure the investment fund isn't also mismanaged to the same extent?
Given that Aurora is so indebted the sale price will be heavily discounted and I wonder to what extent that debt is motivating the desire of the DCC to sell Aurora in a move that appears to be "cut and run".
If Aurora is an attractive proposal for a potential buyer then surely that's because of the income it will generate; if it's such an appealing investment then why sell it? Where is the business case and projected accounts for the next couple of decades if Aurora is retained? How can anyone, even the DCC, make a decision in the absence of this?
Thank you.
