I support the sale of Aurora subject to the following conditions
1 Priority is given to a New Zealand buyer
2 The proceeds of the sale are to be used to pay off the Aurora portion of the DCHL group debt.
3 The balance of the funds are to be used towards paying off council debt and the rest set up in a professionally managed investment portfolio - similar to the Waipori Fund or other suitable investment fund.
4 The return on these investment funds is to be ring fenced towards Three Waters infrastructure projects as per the long-term plan capital budget. This will therefore offset future projected rates and increases, directly relating to this infrastructure.
