Which option do you prefer?
Option Two – The alternative option – Keep Aurora Energy
Further comment
Electricity is as essential as clean air, drinkable water etc.
It should NOT be a "money-making" entity but a provider of an essential service.
It's income
- pays for providing the service
- maintenance of existing infrastructure
- setting aside funds for future development.
Therefore the customer pays a price to cover the above.
The customer should NOT pay for a "dividend" to DCC. That is a LAZY WAY of DCC acquiring money.
Therefore I am TOTALLY AGAINST selling Aurora as once it's sold it's gone forever and DCC and electricity consumers will be at the mercy of the buyer and how it conducts its business.
May common sense prevail and DCC opt to retain Aurora but DEMAND it runs it's business much better than the past.
" You don't know what you've got til you lose it"
Any money from a sale would so easily be frittered away - and guess what - I bet it wouldn't be used to generate electricity.!
