No consideration has been given on the viability of DCHL without Aurora Energy, including effect on the asset base and income of DCHL. Will there be the need for further asset sales?
Stated pros and cons are short to medium term. Once sold this asset is gone. Need to look at the long term growth and maintenance of Aurora Energy and the long term prospects of DCHL.
Experience with asset sales in NZ demonstrate customers become worse off with huge price increases. What we may save in rates will quickly disappear in higher energy charges.
Aurora Energy is at the state it is due to poor inappropriate management in the past. Put the right people in place to make it the electrifying company it should be.
