I do believe it is important in keeping our local electricity assets. A large reason that the company has not returned any profits is due to the council diverting funds into the stadium. I believe we as ratepayers will be a the mercy of excessive line charges in the future if Aurora is privatised. Paying down debt by selling Aurora will only tempt future councils in taking on more debt for funding future projects. A council owning their local electrical infrastructure puts them in an enviable position. Please do not sell it and put us all at the mercy of private interests in the future. Thank you.
