Don't sell the asset, it is likely then to be in International hands and i would be scared of this because electricity is a primary need for all people and International hands will not/might not/ cannot be trustworthy to make it about the people and not the money. Keep it in our hands and find other ways to make it work. Don't' sell the chicken, sell the eggs.
