SELL AURORA
The only sustainable option for the city is the sale of Aurora.
DCC thinking needs to change.
What is required urgently NOW:
1. Sound financial management with real consequences, the same criteria to which all business practice is held to account under the law, needs to be placed on Council spending.
2. The historical and present DCC bad management of funds means the sale of Aurora to pay debt needs to take priority and be used to pay off the Aurora portion of the DCHL.
3.Priority for the sale to be given to a New Zealand buyer
4.The balance of the funds to be used towards paying off further unsustainable council debt with any investment fund being NZ based
5. The return on these investment funds to go towards 3Waters infrstructure projects as per the LTP captial budget which will offset future projected rates and increases, directly related to infrastructure.
STOP SPENDING MILLIONS ON ACCELERATED CAPITAL SPENDING. THE ANSWER TO REDUCING DEBT IS TO STOP SPENDING. ECON0MICS 101
