As our elected city council, you are charged with managing and preserving the assets of Dunedin - not flog any of them off to the highest bidder, because the council has put the city into a huge debt situation. All companies go through profit ups and downs for many reasons. Aurora Energy is no different. But you are proposing selling off Aurora Energy - a company which has ongoing earning capacity for the longer future - for short-term gain. If Aurora Energy were to be sold, there would be no future annual income from this resource and that leaves 'hole in the bucket'. We need to keep our assets to future-proof Dunedin.
