What is your feedback on the proposed changes
The proposed Mobility Park appears to make it much more complicated for anyone needing to use it. Firstly, to access the park the driver is going to need to do a U turn or approach it by going right around Back Beach! Secondly, it is more complicated getting into a parking space which has a raised area immediately before where they need to navigate into the limited space. I know of families who spend much more than half an hour in the library taking advantage of the activities provided and choosing books. Time limits do need to be on the few proposed parks, but 60 minutes would be far more user-friendly for library or museum users than 30 minutes. What is the rationale behind moving the pedestrian crossing? Why fix something which isn't broken? Its current position does not appear to put pedestrians at any more risk than the crossings on George St. During peak times when cruise ships are in, the crossing is monitored but that is presumably because of the increased flow across it and not because cruise ship passengers are more at risk than local pedestrians.
