What is your feedback on the proposed changes
Please note that this comment corrects the previous draft I submitted on 17 February. Prohibiting all but one disabled driver to park directly outside the well used PC library and service centre is ridiculous. This seems to be a decision designed to assist tour buses and logging trucks accessing the port at the expense of local residents and those with limited mobility. Who should have priority to access local facilities? Those who live there or those passing through? More car parks adjacent to the library, not fewer, are required, going by the fact that it is sometimes not possible to find a parking space close by with current arrangements. By limiting parking periods in the vicinity you ensure consumer resistance and probably will generate income from fines. Are you trying to reduce use of the library facility so you can close it? If so, what arrogance from those supposed to serve the local community. Revisit the whole proposal and consult those who use the facilities rather than port business only.
