A. ROAD LAYOUT: I Oppose and protest the decision made on the new road layout (relocation of pedestrian crossing and parking spaces near the Library entrance).
1. I protest that the decision was made without any consultation of the affected parties i.e. the Library users. I am asking for a recall of that decision, due to DCC's failure to consult.
2. I oppose the decision on the new layout of parking spaces in the vicinity of the Library, as they are fewer than the existing ones, and the offer of unrestricted spaces further away is too complicated and awkward to negotiate for people with prams, books and children in tow, and for some of the elderly. I am asking to keep the existing layout.
3. I also oppose the relocation of the pedestrian crossing, as from my experience the existing one has better visibility in all directions. I ask to keep the existing pedestrian crossing at the corner.
B. PARKING RESTRICTIONS: I oppose the time restriction for all parking spaces around the library to 30 minutes, as library users with children and the elderly will not be able to have an effective library visit within this short slot. I am asking to change all parking restrictions to at least 60 minutes.
