I am an employee at McDonald's and I understand the already lack of available parking for these employees. There are multiple businesses on this road, with the McDonald's carpark shut off, Mitre 10 carpark shut off and all other parks having time limits, there is virtually nowhere for us to park unless we are keen on walking a kilometre to and from work everyday and on breaks. With the introduction of Kmart to this area, the amount of available parking decreases once again. For a city that accommodates to approximately 150,000 people, this is appalling. Andy Bay McDonald's is one of the busiest restaurants in the South Island, but having no availability for parking or transport will be a detriment to us and the surrounding business. I hope you take this into consideration as I know I am not the only one who is unhappy.
