I work in Braemar Street and there are alreay several other local businesses, staff and customers that rely on these unrestricted parking spots, and shouldn't be changed because Kmart has insufficient parking. Where are the safe car parks at Kmart? like the parking provided at Pak n Save, The warehouse or Mitre 10 for example. The fact Kmart have less than 40 carparks outside their flash new fancy store is pathetic, I would love to know how they were even given consent to build in this already heavily traffic/ pedestrian congested area with no sufficient carparks. Also the traffic congestion that exists during peak hour traffic going through the intersection at Andersons Bay Road to Hillsie Road etc and trying to go in and out of the entrance ways to get to the already established takeaways shops, especially getting in and out of McDonald's South Dunedin is going to be a nightmare, which is another thing the DCC did not take into account.
