Good Afternoon,
This is our feedback on behalf of Burgerking Andersons Bay.
Staff/Managers car park allocated within the compound has been re-linguished just so to accommodate a new business(KMART) within the compound and to assist with the ease in turnover of parking availability within the complex. However having restricted carparks 60 min on Mcbride Street will cause unease within our staff having to move cars every 60 min if they are working 8 hrs shifts. As your letter stated the proposed parking changes was to support business, but no business can operate if there are no staff to serve customers. Another issue is that they will have to go further and beyond to find a suitable non restricted parking so they don't have to keep moving their cars. A bigger issue is the safety and security of our staff especially if they can't find a parking closer to the store and if they finish their shifts late at night around 2-3am in the morning and having to walk further along Mcbride street to where their cars are parked. Someone might get mugged,harassed, severely injured, etc. Some customers might have grudge on some of the staff and may find this as an opportunity to get back at them. Having a designated car park for them along the McBride street, opposite their store feels alot more safer with ambient lighting as well.
I don't know if this will make any changes to the proposed parking changes as I believe you may have already made up your minds with the changes. Which was why I took long to give a feedback as i know it won't matter either way.
