This would make life harder for residents, which already have to navigate the struggles of the limited parking on a daily bases, in order to make parking easier for people that only have to find parking twice a week (on average) in the area. They are also more affluent than students, meaning they can afford to use the paid parking which is in close proximity to sporting facilities anyway.
