What is your feedback on the proposed changes
I believe these proposed changes have totally failed to consider the large student population living on Harbour Terrace who rely on on street parking. Restrictions on this parking would lead to anger and frustration from the student body- who make up a signifciant proportion of the Dunedin population. I would also like to add as a user of the hockey turfs in the area that I rarely struggle to get a park when I am participating in hockey. During the hours the turfs are being used most University and Polytech staff have departed and this frees up parking in the area. I feel that no changes are actually required. In addition as a student myself and as many of my peers would say students will not respond well to this and will likely become more hostile toward DCC staff who might I add are extremely rude at times and often come to restricted parks at 8am on any given morning to ticket cars who have been there overnight and not had a chance to move. I strongly suggest that you reconsider these changes in order to consider what is best for the area and how to better accomodate the students of Dunedin.
