What is your feedback on the proposed changes
This change will make it hard for staff, students and residents of the area. If hostel and flat residents have to park elsewhere, this will make it even harder for the rest of us. I rideshare in with my partner who starts at 7am in order to access a park (& not take an additional car). I am really worried that we won't get a part even 10 minutes walk from our respective workplaces (in opposite directions) if you make these changes.
There are already several time-limited parks in the area. Day parking ends in time for sports people to access this area. I am sure of this, as my apprentices have no trouble finding parks at 5pm for Night Class.
However, if you push residents to park elsewhere, then access to Logan park, Unipol in evenings and early mornings will become more difficult, as Harbour Terrace residents will have take these parks. This also means I will now potentially have to walk in dark areas such as Butts road, as well light parks (near people) will be all taken - an issue for me and other workers and students - mainly female, but some males might also not like having to walk in such areas jsut to reach their cars. Butts road is fine for later parking as it is light.
