This proposed change would screw up parking for a large portion of the student community; the ones who live in the area, and already struggle to find parking nearby to our own homes, considering many of them lack designated parking spaces. The parking spaces on Harbour Terrace are used by students living in Harbour Terrace, Dundas Street, Forth Street, Leith Street... etc. Removing these parks for this large amount of students is a ridiculous notion, and if anything shows a lack of care or thought for the student population who, I repeat, are the ones who LIVE in the area, and NEED places to park their cars that will not have them billed by a parking warden who already closely monitors our activity to ensure we are not cover one fifth of a yellow line lest we be sent a bill. This proposed change is ridiculous, and should not go forward in any state; leave the current parking situation as it is.
