What is your feedback on the proposed changes
As it is already to find all park near the Otago polytechnic campus. This will put a strain on many students and staff. I have to come just after 7:15 am to get an all-day park and the same with a lot of full-time students to get the limited all day parking. They are on limit money as it is and for them to go home a back would very costly. So, they have to get another park hoping someone will leave and then take their park then get back to class. Or they end up missing or being late for their class.
Only a few will gain form this. This will cause an add stress many of students and staff.
Changing the parking to four hours would be no benefit to students or staff. So, if a student has an 8 am, 2-hour class then does not have a class to one 1pm but wants to continue studying and needs to use equipment on campus for 3 hours between classes. So, what is being suggested, this would not be possible and will have an impact on their learning.
Also, these parks will not use over the semester breaks and holiday periods will not benefit staff and residents.
This change cannot proceed. It is completely illogical and only benefit a few.
