We endorse the conversion of two car parks from unrestricted all day parks to 30 minute parks.
As property managers we struggle to find short term parking in the university area. So this move to increase short
term parking will make it easier for property managers, landlords and contractors that we engage for maintenance
and deliveries to residential properties in the area.
We find as property managers that often the focus by decision makers regarding parking in the university area is
more on the servicing of daily parkers to the area and towards supporting parking for businesses. Please don’t
forget about the residents that live in this mixed use area who do need permanent parking (not necessarily residentonly
though), and all the other people like property managers and contractors that require short term parking to
support those living in the area.
