Please change this asap. That school zone has staff of Trinity (70 teachers alone, no carpark), plus OBHS (similar, limited onsite parking), OGHS overflow, Arthur St School and St Joes, multiple ECE providers plus the part timers working at all kura. That street is where those staff all compete between ourselves and our senior students to get to our schools on time and regularly fail. St Joes area is dangerous most days, with crazy parking fails a regular thing. I work at Trinity, drop off to an ECE on Russell st and have a daughter at St Joes. I would never let her walk to school solo as that zone is currently too dangerous with double parking and general driver stupidity. Having extra parks will take the pressure off. The cafe going into the old Arthur St shop also needs catered for, to support local hospitality.

The corner of Lower Russell and Canongate is also a very dangerous blind corner if coming down Russell and turning right towards Serpentine - and I'm driving an SUV with extra height. Please paint some yellow lines when you're doing these changes. Right now cars just inch into the intersection, hope that there's nothing coming from the left, accelerate hard hoping not to crash, as cars are parked right up to the curved corner. There's also a campervan that's been there for about 2 months making it even worse. Some paint would make a huge difference.
