As an employee of a business that works on Bay View Road, there is limited all day parking nearby to suit my disability. I cannot walk far and having parking spaces available all day to park at helps my condition greatly when coming to work, I haven't had to stress about finding a parking space close enough since starting working here in March 2024.
As the business in question, who proposed the changes has their own carpark, and other areas where customers can park, perhaps only one or two car spots could be allocated to a P30 spot, not the whole strip? I suspect with the new business going up, their employees will also take available spaces forcing existing businesses to be on a fist in first serve basis wanting the all day parking nearby.
With that in consideration, allocating that whole space for just 30mins only will severely limit the all day parking availability for surrounding businesses, while customers will have access to a carpark directly out front of the establishment.
