I believe the proposed restrictions are unnecessary and unfair on workers and residents that often use this space, and have done so for decades. I understand this proposal is in place due to requests from nearby businesses, however, every nearby business has its' own private carparking available already. This includes BP, Woolworths, Stihl, Hope and Sons Funeral Directors, KFC, and even the newest business outlet (due to open in November), St Pierres Sushi. The only business that may potentially benefit from restricting parking here is St Pierres, but again, they have their own carparking available. If anything, this proposal is a hinderance on nearby businesses that don't allow staff to use their private carparking due to leaving these spaces open for customers only.
