We are writing to express our strong opposition to the proposed P30 time restrictions. As property owners directly affected by this proposal, we wish to bring to your attention several points of concern. Currently, our plans to develop 4 units at 7 Bayview Road are under council consideration. The design of these units does not include off-street parking, as we have been relying on the availability of unrestricted on-street parking across the road. Introducing p30 restrictions will necessitate redesigning the plans to accommodate off street parking, significantly increasing the overall cost and potentially rendering this affordable project unfeasible. These proposed changes will also negatively impact several other residents on Bay View Road. The other side of the road does not offer any parking, and both ends of the existing unrestricted parking zone are marked with yellow lines. The proposed restrictions seem to benefit primarily one business that is not yet open and that already has its own car park, while disproportionately affecting local residents and visitors. In light of these points, we respectfully ask you to reconsider this proposal. Maintaining the current parking arrangement is essential not only for the feasibility of our project but also for the convenience and well-being of the wider community.
