My name is Stewart Hibbert, and I am the General Manager of Knox College and Salmond College Incorporated. I have been concerned for some time about the roading layout in this area. Each year, we receive several reports from staff and residents about near misses, and to date, only minor accidents have occurred. However, I have always feared that it is only a matter of time before a serious incident takes place.
During the academic semester, we have over 500 residents in our care, many of whom have their own vehicles. I believe that the proposed changes, if adopted, would significantly reduce the risk of harm to the general public.
For what it is worth, I wish to express my full support for this proposal.
