9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I support the idea of a destination playground, but the suggestion that you would build 3 misses the point. The playground should be THE playground to go to in Dunedin just like the Marget Mayhee park in Christchurch. Having 3 is both unncessary (it takes 12 minutes to get from Woodhaugh to Marlow park) and will dilute the experience. I would support the building of ONE desination playground and would suggest Woodhaugh out of the 3 options as an attraction for Dunedin, a place that is easy to access and is not windswept like Marlow park. The other parks should remain, but only devlop ONE into a desitnation, otherwise you will just end up with 3 slightly nicer parks rather than one really good one that people will actually make the effort to go to.

Local Water Done Well feedback

Which water services delivery model do you support?
The Council’s preferred option: an in-house delivery model

Why did you choose this option?
You purswaded me by saying there would be less debt (but I presume higher rates) with the inhouse option. I would rather see something like labour had proposed with national water companies, but I understand that this is no longer happening.

Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
