Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
No, keep 231 Stuart Street as a strategic asset
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Upgrade is needed throughout the whole area.
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
This needs to happen and profits need to go back to the art gallery and the museum for ongoing maintenance costs.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I believe that the council should reconsider the harbour side development so that hotels, apartments, and restaurants can be built. I also think that there should be a light rail option that would go to the airport and back around the city for people to get around easier. This could be done in collaboration with the New Zealand government's department of transportation. Finally, Dunedin City Council should be working with Dunedin Airport to find strong international roots so that the Dunedin economy can thrive over the next nine years. We shouldn't be increasing the roadside pickup rate by 25% and we should be focussing on the basics when it comes to rubbish in terms of picking up regularly for the residents of the city and not spending 92 million on a landfill. We should be putting some of that 92 million into creating apartments for people to live in, and in innervating our economy by trying to attract more of the world here. Pavements also need to be improved in North East valley by Gardens New World for those businesses to make them more accessible. Why should not be forcing people to pay higher rates, the DCC must make strategic priorities that benefit the local economy.
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
A Three Waters Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO)
Why did you choose this option?
It is important that the council works with the current government on their new storm water done well policy, and that they adopt the current government strategy.
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
Storm water is delivered cheaply and within a timely manner
