Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
We think this could be used as a community resource. Could it be made into an Arts Centre? We think people come to Dunedin in part to enjoy seeing our beautiful buildings. Many people value this building and visitors take photos of it - it is a community Asset
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
No, do not introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
We thought that a way to ensure that some funds get to these organisations from tourists is to introduce a "Visitors Pass" that is scanned at each venue as visited and a portion of the cost then gets shared with the venues based on use. Perhaps Dn residents should have free access, but visitors from around the motu AND international visitors should pay. We believe that Under 16 yo's should not have any cost because it is encouraging families to visit and is contributing to young people's education.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
