9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
No, keep 231 Stuart Street as a strategic asset

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
No, do not introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
International visitors bring alot of business to otago as a whole, having some free to view activities will keep a steady flow of people. And you would you class students from overseas as international visitors, will you check their visas as they enter?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I support the Tunnels Trail project to develop a Shared Path/Cycleway between Mosgiel and Caversham, and want it added back in to the Annual Plan for immediate action. The Tunnels Trail project should be funded without delay, and given high priority, with a focus of delivering operational sections as soon as possible. While NZTA co-funding may not be currently available, other sources of co-funding need to be investigated, or allow the Trust/Community to independently proceed with development. The Tunnels Trail is Dunedin's internal transport corridor between the coast and the Plain, as well as our link to the wider Otago cycleway network. As a kid growing up in dunedin we love cycling out of mosgiel. We were very limited to busy roads as you got iver to fairfield or three mile hill. Having this will be awesome for the younger community and familys looking to fill in the day when the suns out! Also the rail trail and even just sections of it see a load of tourists on it just to see the landscape so if you get another attraction for international visitors then its a win win. This is a project that is well backed and people have spent countless hours trying to get moving, not a huge ask from the DCC.
