9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
The road between Otakou and Harington Point needs to be widened. I travel this road twice a day to & from work Monday to Friday and it is very dangerous especially with the number of buses, camper vans and tourists that are on the road. It is narrow and the corners are tight - buses have to cross the centre line to get around them safely and there is no shoulder for a car coming in the other direction to avoid them. There have been several instances where I have had to stop to allow the vehicle coming the other way the right of way. There is no shoulder on the harbour side for cyclists to safely navigate the road. There is nowhere for people to walk either. The good work done on the Bay road from town to Portobello should be completed at this end of the road as there are many people living down there & a lot of tourist attractions with this road being the only access to them. Also, the erosion to private properties at Te Rauone Beach needs to be addressed with ORC, Port Otago & DCC. It is getting worse and the DCC owner reserve that was between the private property & the harbour has completely gone leaving the properties vulnerable. If only the council owned land had been maintained there wouldn't be an issue.
