Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
No, keep 231 Stuart Street as a strategic asset

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
1. Smooth Hill Landfill Don't do it!! it will cost more than what you expect and there are other alternative ways to deal with waste. Why haven't you looked/ concerned at any other ideas? 2. Moana Pool that facility is falling apart and isn't clean, more work needs to be done to keep it clean. There are leaks everywhere. The pool tiles are broken so people keep cutting themselves in the pool. Clean the hydro slides. The car park is all muddy and cars and trucks ruin the gravel area which isn't sealed. The Pool just looks tired and dirty and needs a lot more attention. 3. The whole city looks tired, dirty and not cared about. Over the past 4 years there hasn't been much done to make the city a much better place to live and work. Things need to change! 4. Grass verges need work but it's also the fencing around the verges that needs attention. Around City Rise (Arthur Street) there are many verge's that are overgrown and fencing that has had holes in them for the past many years. There have been multiple submissions and phone conversions relating to this matter but nothing gets done. 5. Something needs to be done with the stadium and the looks of the city. When Christchurch finishes their stadium they will take everything and their city is cool, well looked after and the council does some pretty cool things. Dunedin should be worried! 6. The Walf. It could be such a cool place to have restaurants, bars and activities. It would be such a hot spot for after work drinks or weekend activities. That area is getting unutilised and something needs to be done around that area. You should look at Clutha Clutha District and how they are working with their community to make it a better place to live and work. They are attracting people to live there rather than turn people away. I have talked to many people and I would say about 75% are looking to move out of Dunedin. They say it is a very cool place and they want to stay but if the city doesn't get looked after or if council doesn't help and support making the place a better one then what is the point? Lately Dunedin is such a disappointment, there is such a potential for this place but when you can't remember what council has done over the past 8 years and shops are closing down all over the city leaving buildings abandoned and run down forcing them to be pulled down. You know you have a problem and something needs to be down!
