9 year plan feedback
Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
No, do not introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Please proceed with Mosgiel Park and Ride - particularly since the tunnels trail has been moved to the out years - do not remove tunnels trail from the plan. Mosgiel has limited transport options and will only benefit from more and making the decisions to not take a car (or not need to drive) into the central city will make life better for more people - positive impacts on parking availability (for those who do need to drive/park in the central city), transport emissions, congestion, and health. My preference is for the Mosgiel and Shaping Future Dunedin Transport projects to be more of a priority than the Te Awa Ōtākou remaining sections.
Prioritise the low cost low risk funding for road safety projects - now that central government has cut funding for these programmes it is even more crucial for Council to take the lead and do what they can to prevent people from being injured or killed on our roads - particularly around schools. We know traffic calming infrastructure works - so fund it and install it.
Do what you can to maintain lower speed limits in as many areas as possible.
Transport infrastructure to support the future development strategy should be funded (all or in part) by development contributions, and should always include walking, cycling and public transport connections :)
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
A Three Waters Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO)
Why did you choose this option?
Seems to have worked with Aurora, seperating it out from council will in theory remove the politics from the decision making - let them do what they need to do.
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
