9 year plan feedback
Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
231 Stuart Street should be owned by another organisation or group who can do something with it rather than let it sit and do nothing with it.
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
No, do not introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Education and culture should be free to access for all. That being said, I would be supportive of other mechanisms to increase revenue from international visitors to Toitū and DPAG, such as paid guided tours specifically put together for cruise ship passengers, if that's not already a thing.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Zero carbon investments need to be a PRIORITY for the DCC. We need to be doing as much as we can, as fast as we can, so our children and their descendants can continue to live in safe, beautiful environments we have the pleasure of enjoying today.
We know that the more climate changes, the more conflict and war we will be seeing across the globe. I don't want that. Investing in zero carbon is investing in peace.
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
A Three Waters Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO)
Why did you choose this option?
Something so cruciually important to the wellbeing of our communities now and into the future, and all life beyond, should not be a highly politically asset. I do not want politicians to underspend on water to keep the rates down.
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
