9 yr plan 2025 and Local Water Done Well Submission

Submission

9 year plan feedback

Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
No, keep 231 Stuart Street as a strategic asset

Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Part of the charm and appeal of our city is its architectural history. We should be taking more care to preserve the aesthetics of the city.

Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)

Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I am extremely disappointed by the backward looking decision to remove the cycle/walking path from Mosgiel via the caversham tunnel from the 9 year plan. This shared route has huge potential for increased local commuting as well as visitor appeal. Please reinstate this community asset to the plan. I support the Tunnels Trail project to develop a Shared Path/Cycleway between Mosgiel and Caversham, and want it added back in to the Annual Plan for immediate action. The Tunnels Trail project should be funded without delay, and given high priority, with a focus of delivering operational sections as soon as possible. While NZTA co-funding may not be currently available, other sources of co-funding need to be investigated, or allow the Trust/Community to independently proceed with development. The Tunnels Trail is Dunedin's internal transport corridor between the coast and the Plain, as well as our link to the wider Otago cycleway network.
