Should we remove 231 Stuart Street (formerly the Fortune Theatre) from the list of strategic assets in the DCC Significance and Engagement policy?
Yes, remove 231 Stuart Street from the list of strategic assets (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about 231 Stuart Street?
Should we charge an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) for international visitors aged 16 and over, at Toitū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery?
Yes, introduce an entry fee of $20 (incl. GST) (this is our preferred option)
Do you have any comments about the entry fee for international visitors?
Is typical in many overseas locations to pay a fee to visit an attraction, be it national park, or a museum.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
The Taieri Trails group support the proposal by the Dunedin Trails Network Trust for the council to fund an independent analysis of the potential benefit to the city from being connected to the "great Rides" network, and in the interim, provide some base funding to provide working capital that supports the the ability of the volunteer group to continue their work in making things happen.
Meanwhile, FYI, the Mosgiel to Outram trail is progressing
- ORC have approved the the use of their assets for a shared use trail
- ORC have finalised the construction standards required for such a trail
- All the 8 private landowners have agreed to granting an easement for a trail to cross their land
- we are in the process of completing a resource consent application to construct a trail
- preliminary design for a clipon to the SH87 Taieri River bridge has been completed, and now being costed as a basis for seeking construction funding.
Please don't defer the funding for the Chain Hills tunnel, and don't defer the completion of the complete tunnel trail. It's value is the economic benefit to the city as a connector to the "great Rides".
Local Water Done Well feedback
Which water services delivery model do you support?
A Three Waters Council-Controlled Organisation (CCO)
Why did you choose this option?
Hopefully provides for improved long term governance and capital investment planning, independent of of elected councillors on three year cycles having to make decisions on items outside their expertise.
Plus makes it easier for the entity to adopt collaboration and merger agreements with other entities if it makes commercial sense
Do you have any other feedback related to the proposed water services delivery models?
